A technology company based in New Orleans that is modernizing communications and regulatory compliance for business is seeking an IT Security Manager.
You will work directly with the CTO and development team, reporting to the executive leadership, with significant ownership and influence over how the company builds, operates, and protects its technology.
This role will contain some IT administration responsibilities to start, but the client plans to hire an IT Admin to which you can delegate those responsibilities.
They mainly want someone who LIVES for finding and patching security vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities include:
Security
o. Own the company’s security program end to end—vulnerability management, incident response, compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or equivalent), and security awareness training
o. Conduct risk assessments, manage security tooling, and serve as the primary point of contact for audits and security inquiries from customers and partners
DevOps
o. Design and manage Azure resources (VMs, App Service Plans, VNETs, storage, etc.)
o. Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for our .NET and Blazor codebases
o. Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for system health, security visibility, and cost optimization
o. Apply strong security practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle: IAM, threat modeling, vulnerability scanning, patch management, and secure pipeline/deployment practices
o. Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure challenges and maintain clear documentation
IT Administration
o. Plan and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery procedures
o. Oversee all internal systems, endpoint management, identity and access management, SaaS tooling, and vendor relationships
o. User onboarding and offboarding (accounts, access permissions)
o. Enforce IT policies; provide general IT support for internal users
Requirements
o. 3+ years of experience spanning DevOps and cybersecurity, with experience in a lead role
o. Comfortable being both the strategist and the executor
o. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
o. Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (networking, compute, security)
o. Proficiency with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline design and management
o. Experience supporting .NET/Blazor applications with MS SQL Server backends
o. Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and device/endpoint security management
o. Authorized US workers who can work without restrictions (Required)
o. Able to pass a background check (Required)
Nice to Have
o. Knowledge of SOC 2 requirements and controls
o. Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+
o. Experience in a high-growth startup or scaling technology company
