A veteran-owned technology company in the DC area needs a SQL Developer with a Secret clearance to work on-site at the Department of State.
Along with developing SQL databases and tools, you will be responsible for writing SQL queries to store, sort, and retrieve data.
The SQL developer will be responsible for conducting troubleshooting multiple financial, cash register, and budget databases and applications.
When data is migrated to a new server, the SQL developer will need to ensure that the information is intact, correct, and accessible.
Duties:
o. Design, build, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable SQL Scripts and database designs.
o. Support all phases of the release lifecycle
o. Follow both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, actively participate in daily scrums
o. Identify defects, inconsistencies, and bugs in scripts and database designs; devise solutions to these problems
o. Help maintain database design quality, integrity and provide performance tuning
o. Perform unit and system level testing on all database scripts and data models.
o. Prepare oral and written status reports, code reviews, and technical documentation as needed.
Requirements:
o. 5+ years experience with application and database development using Oracle & SQL
o. US Citizen with an active secret clearance
o. Proficient in jQuery and TOAD is a plus
